NATIONAL COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION CAMPAIGN
The PHILIPPINE SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL – ILOCOS REGION CAMPUS is now accepting applicants for the National Competitive Examination (NCE). This examination is designed to assess the aptitude capability of Grade 6 pupils who may be qualified as an incoming Grade 7 Scholar for SY 2021-2022 to PSHS.
Criteria for Eligibility:
• Grade 6 pupil
• is a Filipino citizen with no pending or approved application as immigrant to any foreign country;
• has not taken the previous PSHS National Competitive Examination;
• is older than 14 years old by the year of admission to PSHS;
• has a final grade of 85% or better in Science and Mathematics based on the Pupil’s Report Card for SY 2020-2021;
• Fully accomplished application form in two (2) copies
• Two (2) identical recent 1x1 ID pictures
• Non-refundable test fee of P300.00 for private school students (to be paid to the PSHS Cashier’s Office) /Free for public school students
• Certified true copy of Grade 5 report card
• If final grade in Science and/or Math is below 85, submit a certification from the principal or proof that the student belongs to the upper 10% of the batch

Modes of Submission:
• Personal/Hand-carry by the applicant

Only one test will be administered, a scholastic aptitude test (known as National Competitive Examination) which is designed to measure Scientific Ability, Quantitative Ability, Abstract Reasoning, and Verbal Aptitude.
The PSHS NCE Application Form and the accompanying material are not for sale, may be photocopied, and may be downloaded (at http://irc.pshs.edu.ph). No reservation fee is required.
Application forms are also available and may be filed at any of the following: PSHS campuses, DOST Regional offices, or Provincial Science and Technology Offices. Application forms with incomplete information will not be processed. Erasures, alterations and insertions must be initialed by the applicant.
The Examination Permit(s) will be issued to the applicants upon completion of all documents by the campus where the application was processed. For applications filed with DOST agencies, the exam permits will be mailed to the applicant, or to the School Principal for distribution to the applicant(s).
In case the exam permits are not received two (2) weeks before the examination day, the applicants should follow-up with the nearest PSHS campus, DOST Regional Office, DOST Provincial Science and Technology Office, or the PSHS System Admissions Office.

PSHS-IRC is now accepting applicants for Lateral Admission for Prospective Available Slots for Incoming Grade 8 and 9 for SY 2020-2021
1. The applicant must submit the following on or before May 8, 2020:
b. certification from the present school enrolled in, regarding academic grades and character rating (included in the application forms);
c. a photocopy of the student’s report card, with the original copy brought along for verification purposes;
d. two (2) recent 1 x 1 pictures; and
e. a non-refundable processing fee of PhP 300.00.
2. The PSHS Campus Registrar issues the Lateral Admissions Qualifying Examination Permit upon completion and evaluation of all requirements submitted by the applicant. The Permit shall clearly state the particulars regarding the schedule of the examination and the things to bring on examination day.

Invitation to Bid for the Procurement of One Lot Internet Access

The Philippine Science High School – Ilocos Region Campus, through the General Appropriation Act of 2020, intends to apply the sum of seven hundred thousand pesos (PhP 700,000.00) being the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) to payments under the contracts for the Procurement of One Lot Internet Access. Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected during the bid opening.
The Philippine Science High School – Ilocos Region Campus now invites bids for the project Procurement of One Unit Lot Internet Access. Provision of required internet access should commence not later than seven days after the receipt of Notice to Proceed or Purchase Order. Bidders should have completed, within five years from the date of submission and receipt of bids, a contract similar to the Project. The description of an eligible bidder is contained in the Bidding Documents, particularly, in Section II. Instructions to Bidders
Bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding procedures using non-discretionary “pass/fail” criterion as specified in the 2016 Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act 9184 (RA 9184), otherwise known as the “Government Procurement Reform Act.”
Bidding is restricted to Filipino citizens/sole proprietorships, partnerships, or organizations with at least sixty percent (60%) interest or outstanding capital stock belonging to citizens of the Philippines, and to citizens or organizations of a country the laws or regulations of which grant similar rights or privileges to Filipino citizens, pursuant to RA 5183.
Interested bidders may obtain further information from Philippine Science High School – Ilocos Region Campus, San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
A complete set of Bidding Documents may be acquired from the address below by interested bidders anytime within office hours from February 11, 2020 up to before the bid opening and upon payment of the applicable fee for the Bidding Documents, pursuant to the latest Guidelines issued by the GPPB, in the amount of one thousand pesos (PhP 1,000.00).
It may also be downloaded free of charge from the website of the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS) and the website of the Procuring Entity, provided that bidders shall pay the applicable fee for the Bidding Documents not later than the submission of their bids.
The Philippine Science High School – Ilocos Region Campus will hold a Pre-Bid Conference on February 19, 2020, 8:30 AM at Philippine Science High School – Ilocos Region Campus, San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur, which shall be open to prospective bidders.
Bids must be duly received by the BAC Secretariat at the address below on or before March 2, 2020 at 8:30 AM. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in any of the acceptable forms and in the amount stated in ITB Clause 18.
Bid opening shall be on March 2, 2020 at 8:30 AM at Philippine Science High School – Ilocos Region Campus. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below. Late bids shall not be accepted.
The Philippine Science High School – Ilocos Region Campus reserves the right to reject any and all bids, declare a failure of bidding, or not award the contract at any time prior to contract award in accordance with Section 41 of RA 9184 and its IRR, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected bidder or bidders.For further information, please refer to:
